Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan is an Indian politician from Maharashtra and currently serving as a member of the Lok Sabha from Nanded constituency, elected in a by-poll in November 2024. He is also the son of Late Shri Vasant Rao Chavan. His father was the MP from Nanded in central Maharashtra, passed away on August 26. Congress candidate Ravindra Chavan emerged victorious in the Nanded Lok Sabha by-poll on Saturday, defeating BJP’s Santukrao Hambarde by a narrow margin of 1,457 votes. Chavan secured 5,86,788 votes, while Hambarde received 5,85,331 votes. He is one of the few Congress leaders who won the By-poll election in 2024.
