Moreover, Oram is the founder of the General Secretary of Bonai Mazdoor Sangh and the General Secretary of Oraon Sanskrutik Samaj, Odisha.

Shri Jual Oram entered politics when he was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from the Bonai constituency in 1989 and served for two terms until 1998. Before officially entering into politics he served as the party’s national vice-president for the BJP ST Morcha (Scheduled Tribes wing) between 1993 and 1995. Additionally, he served in the 12th, 13th, 14th, and 16th Lok Sabhas. He was selected to be a member of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet. Jual Oram is also serving as the chairman of the parliamentary defense committee. Currently, he is living with his family in New Delhi.
