Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel is a famous Politician, Engineer, and Builder, who has been serving as the 17th and current Chief Minister of Gujarat since 2021. He was born on 15 July 1962 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Bhupendrabhai Patel is a member of the BJP and has represented the Ghatlodia Assembly constituency in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly. His political debut started from the municipal bodies of Ahmedabad. Bhupendrabhai Patel was raised in Ahmedabad and completed schooling at the Government School of Ahmedabad. Later, he received a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Government Polytechnic, Ahmedabad in April 1982.

He is an active member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Bhupendrabhai Patel was a member of Memnagar Nagarpalika in 1995–1996 & 1999-2000 and 2004-2006 also serving as the President of Memnagar Nagarpalika in 1999-2000. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the School Board of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) from 2008 to 2010, Councillor of Thaltej Ward from 2010 to 2015, Chairman of the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) from 2015 to 2017, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the AMC. In 2017, he contested the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections and became a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly for the Ghatlodia constituency.
