Chaudhary Jayant Singh also known as Jayant Chaudhary is a prominent Indian politician is a member of Rajya Sabha since 2022 and serving as the 5th Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship since 2024. He was born on 27 December 1978 in Dallas, Texas, United States of America. Jayant belongs to a Hindu family of Chaudhary Ajit Singh and Radhika Singh. He is the grandson of former Prime Minister of India Chaudhary Charan Singh. He completed his B.Com. (Hons.) at Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University, and receive the M.Sc. (Accounting and Finance) degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK.

Chaudhary started his political career in 2009. He contested the General Loksabha Election & won as a Member of Parliament (MP) from Mathura Constituency of Uttar Pradesh. Jayant Singh also served as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2012. He was elected a member of the Rajya Sabha as a candidate of the Rashtriya Lok Dal in July 2022, representing Uttar Pradesh. He is appointed as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) For the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the Government of India on 11 June 2024.
