Amit Shah or Amit Anil Chandra Shah, an Indian politician serving as the 33rd Minister of Home Affairs in the 18th Lok Sabha of Parliament, was born into the Gujarati Baniya family in 1964 in Mumbai. His family moved to Mehsana City to complete his schooling. After Schooling, he moved to Ahmedabad and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. Young Amit started handling his father’s business after education. He was inspired by the Hindutva ideology if Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh and became a member of ABVP, the student political wing of RSS.

While he was a volunteer of RSS he met Narendra Modi and they both worked for the upliftment of the base of the Bhartiya Janta Party in Gujarat State. Later in 1987, Amit Shah joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. He served in various important posts of the Bhartiya Janta Party Yuva Morcha in Gujrat state. He First contested in Direct elections from the Serkhej state assembly in 1997 and joined the Gujarat state assembly with CM Narendra Modi. Amit Shah remained unbeaten in the Serkhej constituency in the 1998, 2002, & 2007 assembly elections. He contested from Naranpura State assembly in 2012 and served as the state minister with 12-year tenure of CM Narendra Modi in Gujarat State.

Shri Amit Shah was appointed as the star campaigner of Uttar Pradesh in the general election of 2014. He managed the election and BJP won 73 out of 80 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh. Bhartiya Janta Party won the general election and Narendra Modi became the prime minister of of NDA government. Amit Shah became the national president of the Bhartiya Janta Party after the resignation of Rajnath Singh as the president of the party. He took the responsibility as the challenge for the general election 2019. Under his presidency and leadership of PM Narendra Modi the BJP-led NDA alliance won the general election in 2019.
