Shri Tokhan Sahu is a very true and kind person as an Indian politician. He is a member of parliament to the 18th Lok Sabha from Bilaspur. In college life, Tokhan Sahu developed an interest in the Political field and he finally decided to enter a political career. For the first time, he was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly from Lormi by defeating Congress candidate Dharamjit Singh in 2013. Then, in the next year, He was again selected as a member of the Committee which is associated with the welfare of women and children. Finally, In 2014 he became a member of the Delegated Legislative Committee in the Chhattisgarh Assembly.

For the next 10 years, he served the duty of Parliamentary Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Government. In the general elections held in India in 2024, Sahu was chosen to serve as a member of parliament for the Lok Sabha constituency of Bilaspur. Moreover, he defeated Indian National Congressman Devendra Yadav in the 2024 Indian general elections.
