Chandra Shekhar Azad “Ravan”, a Young politician, social activist, lawyer, and current member of the 18th Lok Sabha of the Parliament was born in 1986 in the small village of Chhutmalpur of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. His father was working as a principal of a government school. He finished his schooling in his hometown and moved to Garhwal University to finish his BA and LLB. He hails from a Dalit family of UP. Chandrashekhar started his politics with the foundation of Bhim or Bheem Army- an Ambedkarite and Dalit Rights organization at a young age with his two friends.

Apart from social activities he moved to politics in 2020 and founded Azad Samaj Party in Uttar Pradesh. His party contested in the 2022 UP Assembly Election. Azad himself contested from Gorakhpur constituency against CM Yogi Adityanath. He although was defeated by Yogi Adityanath in the assembly elections he made his strong presence in Indian politics, especially with the support of the Dalit community of the state. Later, Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan (चंद्रशेखर आज़ाद रावण) was nominated from Nagina Constituency in the general election 2024 of the 18th Lok Sabha. He won the election defeating his BJP opponent by a huge margin of 1.5 Lakhs of votes.

Shri Chandrashekhar Azad ‘Ravan’ also helps the poor and Dalit students of the state with their education and other empowerment with free schools in western Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested by UP Police under the National Security Act (NSA) for his involvement in Saharanpur Violence. Letter his bail was granted by Allahabad High Court. Chandrashekhar presented himself as the voice of the Dalit community in Uttar Pradesh. With Dalit Support he was now representing the Nagina constituency in the parliament of India.
