Shashi Tharoor, politician, activist, former diplomat, Historian, and current member of the 18th Lok Sabha of the Parliament of India was born in London to the family of Tharoor Chandra Sekharan Nair and his wife Sulekha Menon. Shashi belongs to the Malayali Family of Palakkad District of Kerala State. He was brought up in Mumbai as the family moved to India after his birth. He finished his early schooling in Mumbai.
