Akhilesh Yadav, Politician, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, and member of the 18th Lok Sabha of the Parliament was born in Saifai village of Etawah district in 1973. He was the youngest Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2012 at the age of 39 years. He finished his schooling at Rajasthan Military School and moved to Bangalore for his graduation. After finishing graduation he earned a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Australia. He married Dimple Yadav and has three children in his family.

After finishing his education he joined politics with his father Mulayam Singh Yadav, former Chief Minister of UP and President of the Samajwadi Party. He contested in the assembly election in 2009 from Firozabad and Kannauj constituency and won both seats. Samajwadi Party once again came in majority in the 2012 assembly election and his father introduced Akhilesh Yadav as the chief minister of the state. In his tenure as the chief minister, the Muzaffarnagar riots and the suspension of IAS Durga Shakti Nagpal were the most criticized. Samajwadi party lost the 2017 assembly election and Akhilesh Yadav contested in the General Election 2019 and joined the Parliament of India.
