Anumula Revanth Reddy, Indian politician and current Chief Minister of Telangana state was born to a lower middle-class family in 1969 in Konda Reddy Pally village of Mahbubnagar District of Telangana (earlier Andhra Pradesh). He completed his schooling at the government school of his village and moved to Hyderabad for higher education. Revanth Reddy graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad in arts subjects. He was inclined towards politics from his early college years and became a member of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad.

Young Revanth started social activities in the local area after his graduation and contested the local body election as an independent candidate. He was elected as a member of the Zila Parishad Territorial constituency of Midjil Mandal in 2006. His hard work and support of the voters of his constituency came into the sight of N Chandrababu Naidu, the president of TDP. He joined TDP and was elected as the MLC of the Andhra Pradesh State Council. Revanth Reddy contested in the state assembly election as the candidate of TDP from the Kodangal constituency and won by a huge margin.

Shri Annumala Revanth Reddy now lives in Hyderabad city with his family. He was married to Geetha Reddy in 1992 and has a son in his family. After the separation of Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh in 2014, he was a member of the Telangana state assembly. He resigned from TDP in 2016 as he was removed as the floor leader of TDP. He joined the Indian National Congress Party in 2018 and lost the state assembly election in 2018. Revanth was contested as the candidate of the Congress party in the general election 2019 from Malkajgiri constituency and won the election by more than 10000 votes.
