Devendra Fadnavis, Politician & Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra state was born into the Brahmin Family of Marathi community in the Nagpur city of Maharashtra in 1970. His father Gangadhar Fadnavis was in the politics of state politics and served as the Member of Maharashtra State Assembly. His mother belonged to Amrawati and served as the director of the Vidarbha Housing Credit Society. He completed his schooling at Saraswati Vidyalaya and higher education in Berlin, Germany. His father was a member of the Jana Sangh party and was imprisoned at the time of emergency imposed by Congress Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi.

Fadnavis was actively indulged in student politics as a member of the student wing of BJP and RSS, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He was active in the local body politics of Nagpur City and was elected as a corporator and later as a Mayor of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Devendra Fadnavis became the second youngest Mayor of Nagpur city at the age of 27 years. His political journey started from the base of Nagpur city to the Chief Minister of the Maharashtra State. Shri Devendra served in multiple roles in the Maharashtra BJP. He is currently serving as the deputy chief minister of the state.

Ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis Lives in Mumbai city with his family, wife Amruta, and children. He served as the chief minister from 2014 to 2019. He was once again appointed as chief minister in November 2019 but resigned within 5 days because Uddhav Thackrey led Shiv Sena to withdraw his support of the Bhartiya Janta Party. Later Uddhav Thackrey was sworn in as the chief minister of the state and Devendra became the leader of the opposition in the state assembly. A few months later Uddhav Thackrey resigned as the chief minister and Eknath Shinde became the CM of the Maharashtra state and Devendra Fadnavis became the Deputy Chief Minister alongside Ajit Pawar.
