DK Shivakumar aka Doddalahalli Kempegowda Shivakumar, Politician and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka State was born in 1962 in the Small town of Kanakapura near Bangalore city. His mother Gouramma and his father Kempegowda belong to a lower-middle-class family in the Vokkaliga community of the state. He completed his primary education and schooling in his hometown.
