Eknath Shinde, Politician and current Chief Minister of Maharashtra State was born in in Dare Village of Satara District of Maharashtra State in 1964. His early life was passed in struggle as he left his schooling from 11th class to take care of his family. He belongs to the Kunbi community of Maratha. Later, he moved to Mumbai and started earning for his family. Eknath Sambhaji Shinde resumed his education in the year 2014 at the age of 50 years and completed his graduation from Maharashtra Open University in 2020.

He was inspired by Bala Saheb Thackeray for his Marathi Hindu Ideology. Eknath Sambhaji Shinde came into contact with Shiv Sena politician Anand Dighe at a young age. He was the leader of the labor association of Waghle Industrial State. Eknath Shinde contested the corporation election of Thane municipality and was elected as the corporator. He was elected as the leader of the Municipal Corporation House. Shinde was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra in 2004 and consecutively won the 4th election from Thane as the candidate of Shiv Sena.

Shri Eknath Shinde resigned from Shiv Sena’s Primary Membership and moved out of Maharashtra with his supporting MLA while Uddhav Thackeray was serving as the chief minister of the MVA government alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party. This decision of the Shinde made political crises in Maharashtra Politics. Later Uddhav Thackeray resigned as a Chief Minister of the state. After the resignation of Uddhav, Shinde became the chief minister of the state with the support of the Bhartiya Janta Party. Eknath Shinde lives in Mumbai city with his family. He lost his elder son and daughter in a boat accident when they were 11 and 8 years old. His wife Lata Shinde is a homemaker.
