Harbhajan Singh also known as the Bhajji former Indian cricketer and Indian politician, serving as a member of Parliament Rajya Sabha, was born on 3 July 1980 in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He belongs to a Sikh Family and is the only son of Sardar Sardev Singh Plaha, a Sikh freedom fighter. He has five sisters. Harbhajan was in line with family business, but his father insisted on focusing on his Cricket career. He is one of the greatest Swing bowlers of all time. He married Geeta Rani Basra on 29 October 2015.

Singh Harbhajan did his schooling at Jai Hind Model School, Government Model Senior Secondary School. Later, he studied at Doaba School. He completed his Higher Secondary education at Parvati Jain High School in Jalandhar. Young Harbhajan did not attend the college. He is an International Cricketer by profession and join politics in 2022. Harbhajan Singh played for the Punjab team in domestic cricket from 1997 to 1998 and 2018 to 2019. He also played for Surrey County Cricket Club.

He played for the Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2017, the Chennai Super Kings from 2018 to 2020, and the Kolkata Knights Riders in 2021. Harbhajan Singh is a right-handed batsman and right-arm-off spin bowler. His international match debut was in 1998. He played for India in International Cricket from 1998 to 2016. His test debuted on 25 March 1998 against Australia and played his last test on 12 August 2015 against Sri Lanka. His ODI was on 17th April 1997 against the New Zeeland and played his last ODI on 25 October 2025 vs South Africa. Harbhajan played his first T20I debuted on 1 December 2015 against South Africa. His last T20I match was played on 4th March 2016 against UAE.
