Harsh Malhotra is a well-known Indian politician from east Delhi and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is currently serving as a Member of Parliament from East Delhi and Minister of State for Corporate Affairs. He was born on April 24, 1964, in Delhi into a family deeply rooted in education, with both parents being teachers. Harsh went to the Delhi government school to complete his schooling.
For higher education, he has pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Botany from Hansraj College, Delhi University. After that, Harsh Malhotra earned a law degree from the same college. His political career was determined by his early participation in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the age of seven and later with the youth wing of the BJP.

The political journey of Harsh Malhotra started in the year of 1984 when he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at a young age and was involved with the BJP’s youth wing, Yuva Morcha. Then in the year of 2012, he was the first victor in the election as a municipal councilor from Delhi’s Welcome Ward.
Between the year of 2015-16, Malhotra has served as the Mayor of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation. During his political, he got many positions within the BJP, including Youth Wing President and Chief of the BJP Training Cell for Delhi. Harsh Malhotra defeated the INDIA bloc candidate handily in 2024 when he ran for and won the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat.
