Iqra Hasan also known as Iqra Choudhary, young female politician and current member of Lok Sabha was born in Kairana in 1994 in the family of Chaudhary Munawwar Hasan in Kairana district, Uttar Pradesh. She completed her early schooling in New Delhi, Queen Mary School. After completing her graduation from LSR College Delhi she moved to London for her higher education. She completed her master of Science degree from SOAS University in International Politics and Law.
Her grandfather, father, mother & brother are already active in the state politics of Uttar Pradesh. Iqra Hasan Choudhary was introduced to politics by his family and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav in the General Election 2024. Kairana Lok Sabha Seat is one of the most prestigious seats for the Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party lost the last general election from the Kairana constituency in 2019 to the BJP. Again she contestant at the age of 30 years against a BJP candidate and won the Lok Sabha election in 2024.
