Madan Rathore an Indian politician, serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha, was born on 2nd July 1954 in the Raipur district of Rajasthan state in India. He did his schooling in a government school in Raipur and completed a b.sc degree in maths in 1974 from Bangur College in Pali Rajasthan, a campus of the University of Rajasthan. He belongs to a middle-class Hindu family in Rajasthan. His father was Late Shri Ratan Lal Rathore and his mother was Smt. Soni Devi. He married Usha Rathore on 30 June 1982. They both have 3 children, two sons and one daughter. 

Shri Madan Rathore is an Agriculture, trader, and Industrialist by profession. His political journey began in the 1970s when he joined the RSS as a Pracharak. After that, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the mid-1980s. After holding a memory position in the Pally district unit he moved to the state unit of the BJP. He has a great vote base in the Sumerpur assembly where he defeated Indian National Congress leader Bina Kaka twice. In the 14th Rajasthan Assembly, he served as the BJP’s deputy chief Whip from 2015 to 2018.

Let us tell you that Madan Rathore continuously served as a member of the Rajasthan legislative assembly from the Sumerpur constituency for two non-consecutive terms: 2003 to 2008 and 2013 to 2018. He has been the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party Rajasthan unit since 26 July 2024. In 2024, BJP announced Madan Rathore as the candidate for Rajya Sabha representing Rajasthan State and he was elected unopposed on 27 February 2024. He is one of the prominent politicians of the BJP in the state of Rajasthan, who has struggled to get the BJP in power.

From 1992 to 1995, he served as the chairman of the Gram Seva Sahkari Samiti, Dhabar. In his MLA tenure, he was a member of various committees, formed in the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan including a Member of the Question and Reference Committee from 2094 to 2006, a Member of the Committee on Estimates, and a Member of the Committee on Public Accounts, etc. He is the prime leader of the BJP in Rajasthan.
