Piyush Goyal born on 13th June 1964 is an Indian Politician and a Chartered Accountant in charge of the Minister of Commerce and Industry Since 2019. He is a Member of Parliament for Rajya Sabha from the state of Maharashtra. Piyush Goyal has long been associated with the BJP. His father also served as the National Treasurer of the BJP for over two decades. He had an illustrious career even before joining Politics wherein initially he worked as an investment banker and served on the boards of India’s largest commercial banks like State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda. Shri Piyush Goyal was also nominated by the Government of India to the task force for the Interlinking of rivers.

Under his tenure, India achieved great milestones like highest–ever exports, and launching the Production Linked Incentive( PLI) schemes to boost Make in India. Implementation of the world’s largest food security program Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) by distributing free food grains to nearly 80 crore poor and vulnerable people over a period 2 of years.
