Shri Tejashwi Yadav is a Politician, current member of Bihar Assembly, and also served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar state. He was born in the family of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. Tejaswi Yadav is the youngest of 9 siblings in his family including seven sisters and one brother. He was brought up in his native place and moved to New Delhi with his elder sister Meesha Bharti. He enrolled in Delhi Public School RK Puram but dropped out before completing high school. Tejaswi started playing cricket from his school days and continued playing cricket.

He was the captain of the RK Puram School Cricket team. After dropping out of school he continued cricket and was part of the champion of the under-19 World Cup and 17 World Cup teams. Tejaswi Yadav was part of the team as an all-rounder. Later, he played first-class cricket in domestic cricket. He was a member of the Delhi Daredevils IPL franchise from 2009 to 2011. He entered into politics with his father Lalu Prasad Yadav, and his mother Rabri Devi led the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) party. His father and mother were the former chief minister of Bihar state.

Shri Tejashwi Yadav contested in the state assembly election in 2015 as the candidate of Raghopur constituency as the candidate of Alliance of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Janta Dal (U), and Indian National Congress party. The alliance came into the Bihar government with a majority. He was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister of the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar State Assembly. Tejaswi is the youngest MLA and Deputy chief minister of the Bihar state at the age of 26 years. He served as the Minister of PWD, Forestry, and Environment. In 2017, he became the leader of the opposition as Nitish Kumar Pulled out the support and formed a government with the Bhartiya Janta Party.
